Today there are so much people going for all sort of jobs in the graphic design industry. Technology is improving day by day and more jobs are being created. Jobs that involve technology has the image of being easier, and more common. For example, no one farms anymore. Technology has improved so much that there are so much people going into the big business companies such as designing a new poster for a certain company or product, designing the packaging for a new product,making a commercial for a NGO, etc.
Having a skill in Adobe Illustrator is a huge deal. Being able to make a magazine cover or being able to design packaging? Not much people have that kind of knowledge and this is very valuable when it comes to getting hired for the job. Today one needs to have lots of knowledge in different fields when it comes to finding a job because of the intense competition. Communications technology taught all of us how to work with power point, be confident when presenting, adobe illustrator, adobe premium elements, and Microsoft office or word. We also learned how to make our own brochures along with making an online porfolio where almost anybody can access to get a sample of our various professional works we have been working on since the second semester.
