My ideal job that is in the field of communications technology would be a graphic artist. Throughout the course, I liked the design projects that involved Adobe Illustrator such as the magazine cover, the logo design, along with the packaging design. Graphic artists use text and artistic media to express thoughts into a form of a commercial or for business/marketing purposes. Most graphic art careers require professional education, technical skill and creativity—and they offer a wonderful way to use your talents and abilities and earn a living at the same time.
Advertising Designers take a client’s ideas and uses graphic art to reach to a target audience. They use a variety of media such as digital imaging, text, film, music, animation and others—to communicate quickly and effectively. Some of the products an advertising designer produces are commercials, promotional displays, magazine ads, product brand images and logos. Which is what we did in grade twelve and eleven communications technology.
